Mocha Cappuccino hot chocolate ~ Deliciousness

I don’t usually blog.  It’s not because I don’t want to; it’s because I just don’t.  I want to.  I want to like blogging, but it’s hard.  So for me to come here blog about this is something special. Especially since this isn’t a post about photography!  I have been sick today.  Sinus pressure, headache, sore throat kind of day.  Mom cannot be sick!  On top of that, I’ve had sickish kiddos with runny noses, not sleeping well, and just plain whiny.  We have a house full of sickies, except for my husband.  All I wanted today was comfort food so when I found this delicious nutella hot chocolate I was going to make it tonight:  Unfortunately, I had 1 tbsp of nutella left and it was dried out *sadness*.  I found something that looked like it had potential.

It’s Mocha Cappuccino by Jif.

This recipe is not good for you. It’s full of sugar and fat, so cutting calories or something somewhere had to be done. Not sure that it helped, but I tried. Here is my recipe adapted from the above link to nutella hot chocolate.

2 cups milk (I did one cup milk, and one cup water)
3 1/2 tbsp mocha cappuccino
2 tbsp cocoa

I combined all in a sauce pan and started to whisk away with my non-metal flat whisk on medium-low heat until it was all combined. It was thick, rich, sweet (but not too sweet) and had a touch of coffee. If you like chocolate and coffee this is pretty awesome. I’m sure if you are feeling feisty you can use Whole milk, 1/2 and 1/2 or *God forbid* heavy cream.
